Since 2001, McConnell Studios has created custom designed elements for public, commercial, and residential clients with the goal of enhancing the environments in which we live, work, and play. Our work includes sculpture, lighting, architectural installations, and products at all scales created with a wide variety of materials and fabrication systems. We are creative problem solvers, working to benefit our clients by connecting budgets, materials, and vision with dreams.
Maintaining a dialogue with clients in the design process helps make each project unique. It provides an insight into the creation of custom pieces and gives those involved a connection and sense of ownership that is unique in a world of mass-produced products. We are intimately involved in all phases of work, from initial conception through fabrication and installation. 3D Cad is used prominently for the communication of concepts and in the execution of designs, ensuring accuracy at each stage. The slideshow below shows proposal renderings, some completed work, and some projects that were never realized.
Matt McConnell holds degrees in Architecture and Industrial Design from the N.C. His work often requires direct coordination and collaboration with designers, architects, engineers, and general contractors.
